THE STORY BEHIND THE SONG... As a composer, I can't help but notice "real-life" stories being played out in the lives of my friends. "A Time for Ana" is a song tribute I wrote for a dear friend whose life has been difficult.
One day as I thought about her life, a little melody came to mind and I began to muse on it at the piano, exploring its inner feeling that lived somewhere in between the black and white keys of my piano. Eventually what emerged was a fully fleshed song pointing to to a day when rest can come for my dear friend Ana.
